Sustainability concept

Sustanability Focus & Why we use Stanley/Stella as a production partner.

It has a reason that we use Stanley/Stella-Products for some of our pieces. It would be much cheaper for us to source and print our blanks in a low wage country. But in order to archive our goal of being a sustainable brand, that is not an option for us. If you look behind the curtains of some big brands, you will notice, that many brands import cheap blanks from low-wage countries, with no regard to the sustainability of their garments, their production techniques and the treatment of their employees.

We do things differently.

We realize, that even though, we don’t have the ability to fabricate the blanks all by ourself, from cotton to the finished product, we can still control where we source our base materials from. And the most efficient way to do this is to connect to a network of a distributor who cares a lot about the same values that we do.

Stanley/Stella is a Belgian company located in brussels, that provides sustainable clothing and focusses on climate neutral production and fair wages for employees. Together with them we are working for a shift in the clothing industry; away from environmental harm to a production, where we stay in harmony with our planet.

With the brand philosophy of ODIO, we want to combine streetwear and sustainability for the perfect combination.

We want you to feel good in your clothing, with the knowledge that you wear excellently fabricated, high quality garments, which are furthermore no harm to the environment.

Sustainability in the printing process

We use the DTG-Printing-Technique, which uses approximately 95% less water and 60% less energy than normal printing techniques. We use NeoPigment inks, which are water-based and ecodegradable. Misprints are donated to the "Deutsche Rote Kreuz" or the organization "Hehlerei". The latter reprocesses the textiles thanks to so-called upcycling techniques and creates unusual fashion collections. This allows us to keep products in the textile cycle for as long as possible. Furthermore the production process is power by 100% green electricity from renewable energies using the power supplier “MONTANA Energie”.

Sustainability in the order process

Every single order helps to remove carbon from the atmosphere, to store carbon for at least 1,000 years and supports solutions such as ocean-based degradation and Direct Air Captue (air filtration). This is done by an algorithm, which donates amounts of the order value automatically to climate organizations like “Grassroots Carbon”, “Running Tide”, “Remora”, “Heirloom”, “Planetary” and “Charm”.

Sustainability in the delivery process

We use plastic-free recycled shipping packaging for every order and deliver our packages climate neutral. We deliberately refrain from adding small gifts and goodies to our deliveries to limit the delivery to the essential.
